Smoking Cessation

Lincolnshire Smoking Cessation Service

Lincolnshire County Council has commissioned North 51 ( to provide a new-look smoking cessation service which also includes maintaining a Tobacco Control function in Lincolnshire.

The New service began on 1 January 2016.

The New Service will be focused on smokers who will benefit from stopping smoking:

  • Supporting pregnant women (and their partners) to be tobacco smoke-free for a healthy pregnancy, delivery and postnatally for the best start for the baby.
  • Supporting smokers with a medical conditions and surgical intervention in order to reduce the impact of smoking on disease progression and to improve post-operative recovery, and
  • Supporting people with long term mental health conditions as a contribution to improving  physical health outcomes and parity of esteem.

There will be support available to the wider population  to stop smoking, though this will be offered at a lower capacity, matching the national declining trend for smokers accessing stop smoking services.
