MBBS DGM MRCGP FRCGP London (Senior Partner)Dr Parry has been a Partner within the Practice since 1986. During this time Dr Parry developed the Springwells Practice as an excellent training Practice, training Doctors over many years to become General Practitioners. This was discontinued in 2004 with the amalgamation of the Springwells Practice and Glenside Practice. However Dr Parry has re-established his training status attracting Doctors wishing to become a GP, this will also enhance the clinical expertise and development within the Practice. Dr Parry has a wealth of experience in General Practice and has been awarded the Queens Jubilee Medal for services to immediate care (Lives and Helicopter). In addition Dr Parry is an appraiser for local General Practitioners and also undertakes investigative  work for the General Medical Council.

State Exam Berlin (Partner)

Dr Keck qualified as a Doctor in Berlin. Following hospital experience at Pilgrim hospital Boston he joined the Practice in 1997. Dr Keck has a wealth of experience in General Practice and in particularly minor surgery and Muscular-skeletal Medicine.

MRCGP Nottingham (General Practitioner)  Dr Chong Qualified from Nottingham in 2009. Dr Chong trained in core medicine gaining MRCP in 2013, then general practice with Boston VTS, gaining DRCOG in 2015 and MRCGP in 2016.

Dr Chong joined the New Springwells Practice in March 2017.

MBChB DRCOG FRCGP Liverpool (General Practitioner)

Dr Murphy qualified in Liverpool in 1978, he trained as a General Practitioner on Merseyside and gained his MRCGP and DRCOG in 1982. Following a move to Lincolnshire he became a principle at Sleaford Medical Group for 28 years until 2010 when he moved to The New Springwells Practice. He has a special interest in ophthalmology, teaching and professional regulation. In 2005 he was appointed as a Fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners.He has just completed 8 years as a panel member of the General Medical Council 'Fitness to Practise' panel.  Dr Murphy is a GP Specialist Adviser to the Care Quality Commission (CQC). He is a medical member of the Social Entitlement Chamber of the Courts and Tribunal Service. He is also Senior Clinical Adviser and Associate Medical Director of NHS England (Central Midlands) dealing mainly with practitioner performance and under performing practitioners, and deputising for the Medical Director in Lincolnshire.

Training Practice

The practice is an established training practice for General Practitioners under the supervision of Dr Jonathan Parry.

General Practitioners in training are qualified doctors who are training to become General Practitioners and are known as "Registrars".

RGN Independent/Supplementary Nurse Prescriber

Jane is an experienced nurse who qualified as a Registered General Nurse in 1990 in
Sheffield. Since qualifying Jane has worked in various specialities within the hospital 
environment. She also has experience working within the military setting. From 2006 – June 2013 Jane was employed as a Practice Nurse at Sleaford Medical Group where she expanded her role to become a minor illness/triage nurse.

Jane successfully completed her Minor Injuries training during 2011 and has more recently 
undertaken the Assessment and Management of Minor Illness Course with the University of 
Teeside. She is also an Independent/supplementary nurse prescriber which enables her to 
prescribe medication for patients within her level of competency. This will offer increased 
flexibility for patients who would otherwise have needed to wait and see the doctor as well as freeing up doctors time to care for those patients with more complex healthcare needs.

Jane will work full-time within the practice, acting within her professional boundaries 
seeking advice from GP as required and understands the need to refer more complex 
patients into GP care. She will take an initial history, undertake a clinical assessment, 
diagnose and manage patients presenting with a minor illness. The role will also include 
assessment of patients who present to the surgery as an emergency as well as those with minor injuries.

RGN Nurse Practitioner/Independent/Supplementary Nurse Prescriber

Maria started her nursing career as a care assistant in 1990, having completed her NVQ2 in care Maria commenced her Nurse training at Lincoln and qualified in 1995. Maria gained her nursing experience at Grantham Hospital in General Medicine, Coronary care, and Acute medical admissions, Maria joined The New Springwells Practice in 2000. During her time here Maria has gained a Diploma in Chronic Disease management in particular Diabetes, Coronary Heart Disease, Maria has also completed a Minor Injuries and Minor Illness training course.   In 2015 Maria's role was Nurse Practitioner/Independent/Supplementary Nurse Prescriber.

More recently, Maria has moved to the role of Care Co-Ordinator within the Practice, devoting a lot of her time to the housebound patients in the community and those patients who reside in the local Residential Holmes.

Advanced Clinical Practitioner

Nickey joined us in April 2023 as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner. She qualified as a nurse in 2008 and worked in a hospital setting for 12 years where she was based in Critical Care / Emergency Services. This included Intensive Care and then Cardiology, where she was responsible for the assessment and management of a whole realm of patients with varying cardiac conditions.

During this period Nickey undertook her master’s degree in Advanced Clinical Practice. Nickey completed this in 2018 and obtained a BA Science with qualifications in Prescribing, Advanced Clinical History Taking, Pathophysiology, Injury and Research and Minor Illness. She continued to work in Cardiology based at The Lincolnshire Heart Centre where she would see patients who were having acute cardiac events and ensuring they received appropriate care and management.

In 2019 Nickey moved into Primary Care services and worked in General Practice as an autonomous Advanced Clinical Practitioner. She still maintained her acute skills and has worked in Urgent Treatment Centres along side this. Her knowledge is now wide and varied and Nickey can see patients with both acute and chronic conditions and offers a full assessment, treatment and follow up independently. Since working in Primary Care, she has developed a special interest in Women's Health and has undertaken multiple short courses in this speciality with a focus on the menopause.

Jo Christen trained at university College Hospital in London in 1982, after which Jo worked in a variety of specialities before becoming a Nursing Officer in Queen Alexandra Royal Army Nursing Corp serving both in UK and abroad for several years.

Following her service Jo re-joined the NHS and is now continuing her career pathway in Primary Care.

RGN

Maureen trained and worked at St. Bartholomews Hospital in London from 1984-1988. Her experiences continued at Grantham Hospital in Emergency Admissions unit and coronary care until 2002. Maureen then became a Practice Nurse at The New Springwells Practice and has since furthered her training into Asthma, COPD and smoking cessation.

Nikki trained at Chester in 1995 and has worked in various departments, orthopaedics, diabetes, haematology and ITU in various hospitals around the UK.

After 6 years Nikki moved to working for a large clinical nutritional company after which she took time away from Nursing, working in education and for a military family welfare organisation.

In 2019 Nikki took the opportunity to return to nursing via the 'Back to Nursing' course at Lincoln University. Nikki became a practice nurse in 2020 and joined the team at The New Springwells Practice  in February 2022. Nikki has furthered her skills by undertaking various courses, Diabetes update, Menopause, Weight Loss, Cytology, Immunisation & Vaccinations and blood testing.

Nikki has recently completed her prescribing qualification.

Mental Health Practitioner

Chrissie Holland

Chrissie started her career as an Auxiliary Nurse in 1989. She has since been a Senior Carer working for Surry County Council, Community Health Care Assistant and more recently a Health Care Assistant at Stamford Hospital.

Chrissie joined The New Springwells Practice in April 2019 as a Health Care Support Worker. Her duties include phlebotomy, ECG's, baseline observations and wound care. She is also an integral part of the Infection Control team in the Practice.

A midwife is a specialist practitioner who is trained to care for mother and her baby during pregnancy, birth and aftercare. The midwifery team can be contacted on 01476 464334.

Community Midwife Angela Vickers holds a weekly antenatal clinic at Billingborough Surgery on a Wednesday.

District nurses deliver high-quality care to people in their own homes. They can be contacted on 03001234868.
